We at The Lean Snack prepared a lean guide for all those who belong to the latter category where the aim is to involve you in a basic workout to keep all those illnesses at bay and stay healthy.
You must be thinking what kind of regime to follow? Lucky for you, there are three types of exercises you can do on a weekly basis. The Moderate intensity (around 2.5-5hrs a week). These require you do to exercises like brisk walks, cycling, swimming or even dancing, where you can still make a conversation. The Vigorous –intensity (1.5-2.5hrs/week) involving intense activities which makes you breathe harder depending on your stamina. Activities like aerobics, jogging, swimming, sports etc. would be great options here. Finally, you can otherwise get yourself engaged with Muscle-strengthening exercises for 2 days a week like weightlifting, yoga, pilates, and Crossfit.
MAKE YOUR EXERCISE FUN
If the above mentioned are not your cup of tea or going to the gym intimidates you, then why not make it fun by going on bicycle rides or maybe hiking with your friends. If you own a pedometer, note down the number of steps you take in a day, the ideal count is 10,000 steps minimum and this does not comprise of the steps you take while walking casually like within your house. This, in turn, helps you get energized for the day and keep you within your maintenance calorie levels.
